The Associate level training will help participants get started and secure entry level jobs in this field. The C3KS–Associate is designed for individuals aspiring to enter the Cybersecurity market with training on foundational skills.
At the end of this training session, participants will be able to:
Understand career paths in Cybersecurity.
Understand Linux operating system, TCP/IP networking, and using essential security tools to explore and diagnose networking problems.
Understanding basics of encryption, application security, security operations, risk management and foundation of effective communications.
This is a 5-weeks long training course. Weekly summary outline of each week is listed below.
Week 1: Foundational concepts, Cybersecurity career paths, Security Architecture, Foundational Cybersecurity principles.
Week 2: Linux Operating Systems, TCP/IP Networking and application protocols
Week 3: Using security tools, web application security, Identity and Access Management
Week 4: Cybersecurity operations, log management and threat monitoring, Risk Management
Week 5: Encryption technologies, Written and verbal communication
Prerequisites
A good understanding of computers and the Internet
A Windows or Linux computer (personal, not business) where participants are able to install software needed for this course.

Test with multiple choice questions or weekly assignments (70%)
Individual research paper (20%)
