Cybersecurity is a rapidly growing field offering many specialized career paths. While a deep understanding of technology is essential to be successful, top professionals must also excel in non-technical skills like effective communication and business acumen. The Certificate of Core Cybersecurity Knowledge and Skills (C3KS) curriculum is designed to build these well-rounded professionals, preparing them to meet the challenges of an ever-evolving digital landscape.
The primary purpose of C3KS is to demonstrate that a candidate not only has an exceptional knowledge of Cybersecurity domains but is also capable of putting the knowledge into practice by hands on skills. Following are the levels of certification with increasing levels of sophistication, complexity and depth of knowledge.
C3KS – Associate (Level 1) - A foundation level program to enable get into Cybersecurity roles. If you are a new graduate and want to start your career in Cybersecurity or an experienced professional wanting to switch fields, this is the program for you.
C3KS - Professional (Level 2) - A program that requires in-depth knowledge, technical skills, and business acumen in at least two specialized areas such as (not an all inclusive-list):
Identity and access management
Encryption
Security operations
Risk Management
End point protection
C3KS – Architect (Level 3) - For those who have significant experience in Cybersecurity and want to become a "goto person" for everything Cybersecurity in-depth understanding of systems thinking and being a bridge between business and Cybersecurity.
C3KS – CISO (Executive Level) - With a focus on "Business of Cybersecurity", this course embodies the true spirit of CISO MindMap.
The Associate level training will help participants get started and secure entry level jobs in this field. The C3KS–Associate is designed for individuals aspiring to enter the Cybersecurity market with training on foundational skills.
